First Baptist Church of Turner

We are going to have a booth at Turner Days!! We will be there Saturday only, and we have our teens lined up so that you can throw a pie in their face. It will cost $1.00 for each pie BUT we will have prizes to hand out. So make sure you come on down and throw a pie at one of our teens. And if I get enough requests I would be willing for a pie to get thrown in my face as well.

We are having a Chili Cook Off on November 14^th. If you are interested in signing up for it, the sign-up sheet will be out and about October 24^th. There will be a $25.00 gift certificate to the Legends for the winner.  The judges will be those that come to eat, there will be a charge of $5.00 per person, 10 & under $3.00. We are also going to have karaoke that evening, which the charge for that will be $1.00 a song. Come prepared to have an AWESOME time.

Those are just a few of the fund raisers that are coming up here within the next couple of months. All the proceeds will go towards camp in Green Lake,  WI.

By the time you read this we would have had our lock-in. We have the entire evening planned out. I did tell the kids that they could sleep if they wanted to but there would be no guarantee they would get a good night sleep. I did tell them that they were game for whatever happens to them while they were sleeping. We have some shaving cream left over from our fear factor night it could definitely be put to some good use. We are planning on having service @ 1:30 a.m. which we will talk about the 10 plagues & have you ever heard of eating a banana split at 4:30 a.m.?Well that’s what we’re going to do. It’s going to be a blast!!. We are definitely getting back into the swing of thing.

In Sunday school we are still studying the old testament last Sunday we talked learned about Rahab and we are going to discuss more about her this Sunday
